Will miss our times fishing togethor in the Hawkesbury. A wonderful thoughtful Grandfather who stood up strongly for principles.
I look back at my carrer in law and can quite simply say that Alf was my mentor during my early years. He'd been my stepfather's accountant for years and when, late in life, he took on a new career as a barrister, he became the most wonderful support for a new practitioner. We had a number of interesting and challenging cases together, one of which was reported and quoted as a precedent. But Alf was more than just a barrister assisting cases for my clients. I had many wonderful discussions with Alf on a whole range of issues. His focus on details and accuracy was a fantastic guide. I certainly am fortunate to have known and had a great deal of time to spend with Alf. He will be sourly missed.
