I remember everyday at 5:00p.m. I would rush out to watch the Golden Girls. When I was really sad I would always watch you and you really made me laugh.

In loving memory of a true and original "Golden Girl". God bless you my dear friend, you will be missed dearly Bea. In our hearts and in our homes always. A very special place awaits you in Heaven with Estelle...................Forever Golden

Years ago my friend, my mother and I talked about moving from Pennsylvania to Florida one day and that we were going to be the "Golden Girls". I would be Dorothy. My mom would be Sophia and my friend would be Rose. We just need to find our Blanch now. Well, so far my mom and I made it down here. We are still waiting for our Rose to move down. Bea you will always be in our hearts. You sure knew how to make us laugh.

I loved all the Golden Girls shows, there is no particular episode i liked better than the other, they were all good and funny. Her and Sophia both really played their roles great as mother and daughter, they did have mother and daughter moments on the shows, along with Blanche and Rose, who could make you laugh your hearts out. I will miss you alot and will continue to watch the Golden Girls every day. My prayers to your family i know they will miss you as we will. Love you and keep the laughs going in Heaven.

thank you bea!!!!!!!we love you !!!!!!!goodbye my special golden girl!!!!! xxxx ooooo

I've watched you on so many shows like Maude, Mame and so many others. It's been so long you have been in the business, that with you gone it's not going to be the same. You have been apart of so many shows and movies and plays that I'm going to miss you a lot. May the Lord bless you: Dorothy!, (Bea Arthur).

Bea was a huge part of my childhood. :) I never missed The Golden girls, and when Maude use to come on I would watch it with my mother. Her brilliance just touched everyone in such a way, that it would just bring everyone together. The world is going to be a much sadder place without her. I love ya, bea.

I have watched you throughout my life and you always made my days very merry.
If I was sad or feeling down, all I had to do was turn on the TV and watch you to cheer me up.

Bea will be missed, she was a witty no nonsense actress with phenomenal abilities.

Growing up in the 80's, I loved watching the Golden Girls! Now I watch the reruns with my 11yr old daughter and she loves the girls too! We were both sadden by the news of Ms. Arthur's passing. We will always remember her!
Angela & Katie

My fondest memory, besides the Golden Girls, was when I worked in a tiny electrical shop in downtown Los Angeles and she came in with her mother who was losing her eye sight and we carried a magnifying lamp that was of help to her. She sat at my counter and I did not recognize her at first but that voice was so unique I said to her, "You have a voice that is so familiar. You sound exactly like Bea Arthur" Are you she? She replied, "You got it kid" I was so excited that I had the pleasure of meeting her and waiting on her. I will surely miss her and her talent. She was wonderful. Like Lucy she can never be replaced. RIP Miss Arthur..

Thank you Bea for the many laughs and smiles you brought across the country .You will be missed yet never forgotten. javascript:void(null)

its so sad to hear the loss of bea. I've grown up with the golden girls and when the news came it felt like i lost a member of my family. Rip Dortohy

i grew up as a child in the 80s absolutely adoring the golden girls. now 20 years on, i still love to watch it on dvd. i was genuinely saddened to hear of the passing of bea artur. she has such a presence onscreen and never failed to make me raise a smile. now the smiles have turned into tears as i mourn a true star. god rest you, ms arthur. i am going to miss you. thankyou for the happy times . gary xxxx

I went to see a taping of the Golden Girls quite some time ago. It was one of the best times of my life. Bea,Estelle,Betty and Rue were so funny. They were so nice to us in the audience. Bea you will be missed. But you will always be in our hearts and prayers. I thank the good Lord for the pleasure you brought to our home. I will ALWAYS be a fan of the Golden Girls. These memories will be with me for the rest of my life. I hope to see you in Heaven some day! You are an amazing and funny woman. Thank you for all the memories. They are priceless. I love you babe!

When I first saw you, I was amazed. You were a stately woman and not the usual "glamour" type. Very soon, I was selfishly wishing that you would pass all your outfits on to me, when you got tired of them. I remember my first Bea-like outfit. It complimented me. Even though I did not reach the six feet my Dad told me I would, I have always tried to stand tall and be a proud woman. I thank you for giving me such a positive role model.

My 39 year old Best Friend Kerrie was soooo upset to hear of her death.
My friend is about 6 foot tall and used to dress up like Dorothy for Halloween sometimes. Wearing the long flowing shirts and the long necklaces. Wore a gray wig and would change her voice a little. Her young cousin would dress up as "Ma", Estelle Getty. It was great. They even Trick or Treated at a retirement community once. It was a hit. Bea. You're the best. We will miss you.

I have watched the Golden Girls for years. I was so saddened to hear of her pasing. She is in a better place now. My thoughts and prayers will be with her family and friends. You will be missed greatly Bea. God Bless your family and give them the strenght to carry on as they morn your loss. Rest in Peace.

i will cherish your memories as I watch the reruns of the golden girls.RIp Dorothy.

Its so sad to hear that you are gone. I will remember you in Golden Girls forever. I am 24 years old and use to watch it when I was a little girl and now I have 3 childern of my own to watch it with me now as well. Once again you will be greatly missed.

I've love Bea ever since I was just a little boy. She was so talented in all that, she didn't always come too late, for rehearsals. Her presence was so unique that she decided to be very "funny," no better way of me, ever expressing it. In "Maude," she played a liberal woman, who was married 4x, and in "The Golden Girls," she played a lady who lived with 3 other girls in a retirement home, one of them was her mother (played by Estelle Getty). I've learned so much from her as a kid that she didn't steal any lines or just come out and bemoan to audiences, but she was quite a true heart to the stage and now I'm going to miss her!! I'll always watch the episodes on DVD. Thanks Bea, we'll always love you!!

YOU AND THE OTHER GOLDEN GIRLS MADE MY MOTHER LAUGH. THE THREE YEARS SHE LIVED WITH ME WE WATCHED GOLDEN GIRLS EVERYDAY. IT WAS THE ONLY TIME SHE REALLY LAUGHTED. SHE WOULD SING ALONG WITH THE THEME SONG. SHE LOVED ESTELLE. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, AND I AM SURE WE WILL CONTINUE WATCHING THE RERUNS.

Thanks for all the laughs that you have brought into my life. i was born in 1968, so I was able to enjoy all your work starting with Maude and continuing with The golden Girls. You will always be in my Heart and you will be missed!!!!

I met Bea on several occasions. She was warm and sweet! Bea was a geat animal rights supporter and made us all laugh. The heavens have an added star now!

Bea Arthur will be sorely missed. Her comedic timing and singing talent were like no other. I regret never having met her but I know she appreciated her fans and that she was a kind and generous person. A day does not go by without a touch of Bea. Prayers go out to the family. Rest in peace.
