Even though I grew up as an average white guy in a small Midwestern town, Don Cornelius and Soul Train were more important to me than the other crappy music shows at the time. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his death. My condolences to his family, I know you will miss him.
So often we question how shall I live this one life of mines. Don Cornelius did not question too long. He had a dream and it took life. What a legacy he leaves behind. So many great talents got national access through Don Cornelius dream. Soul Train stands right up there with the Apollo as a legend maker. Well Done, Don Cornelius...Love, Peace and Soul!
Mr. Cornelius sparked a love for music and dance with his vision to bring to television the hippest trip in America... Many careers were started because of this vision, racial, cultural lines became invisibkle because of this vision but most of all the world was taught how to just have fun... Thank You Mr. Cornelius, we wish you peace, love and Soulllll ... May your soul find rest..
