I am a huge fan of Ms Summer since 1975. Her music has been a part of my life since then. She was true Diva, a great human being and role model. Thank you for the good times. God bless you. Rest in peace. My condolences to her family.
I had the great fortune of seeing her in concert four times. What a performer!!! It disturbed me greatly that BMA did such a shabby job with a "tribute", shame on the producer of the show. She deserved sooooo much better. RIP.
Although I wasn't a big fan of the disco music back in the late 70's, Donna Summer just came in & took over all the music charts! She was constantly on the top 10 for a long time & took home 5 Grammy Awards. After listening to some of her music today, I forgot how versatile she was. In a way, she was a bit ahead of her time for what she did in the 70's. Sorry to see her go so soon & get cheated out of her later years !!!!
Many people are mourning the passing of a legend who connected with our hearts, hopes & dreams through her music. RIP Donna
Donna was a class act with faith that didn't waiver and she now sings with the angels.
I have had a crush on Donna since my late teens, I had a Huge poster of her on my wall and all her albums and i mean LP records since this was before CD's. Her Beauty and powerful voice grabbed me by the heart. Well over time we both aged but in 2008 or so she came back and did her Crayons CD and Tour and I had the chance to see her and was so looking forward to seeing her at Casino Rama Orillia ON Canada, Well i bought a ticket online and printed it out, The day of her concert i left to go to the show i was a quarter to a third of the way there and realized i had forgotten the printed ticket and had to turn around and come home i was so upset but i had hoped to be able to see her live again , Then today I read the terrible news that she died i was devastated and in shock then came the tears came, I was just getting over the loss of my main man Michael Jackson and then it happen again i don't think my heart can stand much more. RIP Donna I'll love you for as long as i live.
The world has lost a true one of a kind woman . Thank you Donna for all the great memories, you will live on forever in our hearts and souls. May the heavens welcome you and may you sing on forever and ever! RIP Donna, you are greatly missed.
My love of Donna Summer started back in my senior year of High School, when the song "Love to Love You Baby" was released, although it was back then such a racy song, to today's standard's it would be considered very mild. I sure we all can remember dancing with someone to that song. I had the privilege of going to her 1st concert tour in the U.S.in 1978 & taking my Mother and Father with me and my ex-wife Pat, it was at the Schubert Theater, on S Broad St. It was the Once Upon a Time Tour, which was later released as a double album. I guess back then I had cool parents & was glad that I could share the concert with both of them. God had given her a voice and she sure knew how to use it, She had hit after hit and then the so called story about what she had said about Gay Men and Aids, I never believed it and was still her fan, her career suffered but she always' came back. The last time I saw her perform live was four years ago in 2008 when she was touring for her last album "Crayons" and I'm glad that I was able to see her on the 1st tour and the last one. Donna you will be missed you "Worked Hard 4 the Money" we "Love 2 Love You Baby" you were "Hot Stuff & Bad Girls" , "Heaven Knows" you will be missed, you showed us that "Love's Unkind" way before all the social media you told us "Rumor Has It", some of us have had that "Spring Affair", We all have experienced of meeting that special someone and thought "Could It Be Magic" or was it "One Of A Kind' when things were bad and on the rocks 'Try Me, I Know We Can Make It" and if we worked out the problems "I Feel Love" & soon after that we were able to say "I Love You" then we went and "Dim All The Lights" and that would just lead to "Can't Get To Sleep At Night" we knew we had "Our Love", you sang "I Don't Want To Get Hurt" and "This Time I Know Its For Real" you were "The Queen Is Back" I putting this together quickly as a tribute to you. So many wonderful memories and you went way before your time, I know you be telling me "No More Tear's" for you are at peace and you will "Carry On" Thank you for being a part of my life, music and my prayer's are with your family.
