Miss Stamps was a wonderful woman and teacher. She was an inspiration to me when she taught me at Tintern in 1975 ans 1976. I have gone on to become a teacher myself and I have always held her as a shining example. Her patience, her passion for her subject matter, her utter dedication to her students; as individuals, not just as students. She was warm and encouraging and yet firm; always given respect - it was impossible to do otherwise.
I am only sorry that I did not cross paths with her again after school all those years ago to tell her how much the time I spent in her classrooms has shaped who I am today.
