Dear Mr Andrews, I wanted to take the time to write to you today, to express my sympathy for the loss of your wife Betty. Like you, my life has been touched by the untimely death of a loved one. My friends and family were a great comfort, but what helped me to cope was reflecting on the Bibles hope of seeing my loved one again, in what the Bible calls the Resurrection Hope". When all our dear friends and family that have passed away, will be brought back to life. Here are just a couple of scriptures in the Bible which describe this hope. Isaiah 25:8 "He (God) will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces"... Dear poppy I miss my nanna every day and night I pray for her every day. I miss her dearly, my beloved nanna has departed this world.I remember the words she said to me that night.I remember she said that '' I will see you tomorrow and I said '' Ok nanna I love you, bye '' but an hour later she had passed away . My nanna left me. She was like my best friend, my soul mate. May your soul Rest in Peace nanna . And let perpetual light shine upon you. I love you

Dear Melvyn, I am sorry I never got to meet Betty but knowing how much she was loved, I feel for you. Jean

Betty CARED for all those who came in contact with her. Her cheerfulness and acceptance of her illness was a lesson in courage. May her life and example be a light and comfort to Melvyn and the children. God grant her His peace forever.

Betty was more than a friend, she was a family to us, we always spent festive days together, our party list always started with Mel & Betty. It is hard to think of Mel without Betty, and we still say to each other at home Mel &Betty and stop ourselves, it will take a while to break the habit. I was so sure God would spare her just this one more time that I even wrote in her card the day she left us, that this time God would let her come home. I left the hospital and told her I would see her the next day, she was chatty and told us some funny jokes, and was annoyed that for the first time she missed the Melbourne cup, I told her she could watch it on TV the Next day, she said NO I'll come home and watch all the TV I want. I promised to come and see her the next day, but an hour later when I went she had gone. She was a good friend to everyone she met and was so very proud of Mel, she wanted to marry a man who loved her to the end and she sure got that and was proud of the fact and told us. to Melanie Alex and Jason please look after Mel, we are always here to help in any way we can, our sympathies to Caroline &Venessa. Mel look after yourself and don't hesitate to come over and talk about Betty any time you wish, we are here to take care of each other. Errol Mary & Melissa

A big suprise for us that dear Betty has passed away. We met her a few weeks before at the A.I. dance at Blacktown. I commented how popular she was as many people were coming over to her and wishing her, kissing her etc. She said, I am not the popular one, it is due to Andy that they are acknowledging me." Betty is very modest. People approached Betty because she was loved, trusted and respected. She was most caring and compassionate. I sent a 'thank you' card to her doctor to thank her for taking such good care of Betty and for keeping her alive. Betty had great faith and trust in Dr Ng. Mel please ensure that you are always with family and friends and do take care. We all need each other. Please visit us soon. Our deepest sympathy to Mel, Caroline, Melanie and gradchildren."
