he'll live forever!!!

RIP Freddie. Keep on singing.

Can anybody find me somebody to love?
Each morning I get up I die a little
Can barely stand on my feet
Take a look in the mirror and cry
Lord what you're doing to me
I have spent all my years in believing you
But I just can't get no relief, Lord!
Somebody, somebody
Can anybody find me somebody to love?
I work hard every day of my life
I work till I ache my bones
At the end I take home my hard earned pay all on my own -
I get down on my knees
And I start to pray
Till the tears run down from my eyes
Lord - somebody - somebody
Can anybody find me - somebody to love?
(He works hard)
Everyday - I try and I try and I try -
But everybody wants to put me down
They say I'm goin' crazy
They say I got a lot of water in my brain
Got no common sense
I got nobody left to believe
Yeah - yeah yeah yeah
Oh Lord
Somebody - somebody
Can anybody find me somebody to love?
Got no feel, I got no rhythm
I just keep losing my beat
I'm ok, I'm alright
Ain't gonna face no defeat
I just gotta get out of this prison cell
Someday I'm gonna be free, Lord!
Find me somebody to love
Can anybody find me somebody to love?

There are tons of Queen fans. I think we all know that and we all know a lot and that, in and of itself, is not the big deal. But it's great to also connect with people who are more than just fans but really love Queen and the message and care a lot about the story of the band.

It’s been eighteen years since the announcement of the death of Freddie Mercury. I think he really powerfully affected the lives of a lot of my friends in high school. RIP.

This might sound stupid but one of my first experiences with Queen was when I heard that "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the Wayne's World movie. As silly as that memory now seems, I think it kinda says something about how the music really penetrated so many things in our lives, even Wayne's World.

I was intoduced to Queen music, when I was only six years old. One of my mom's friends bought her Queen's new album (A Night at the Opera) for her birthday. My mom never listened to it, but I must have come across the LP, opened it and looked at the pictures of Freddie, Brian, Roger & John on the bottom of the gatefold sleeve. I was attracted to the image they projected, it contained a powerful importance to me instantly, especially when I started listening to the music and reading along with the lyrics also printed insode the gatefold. It's been over thirty years and I've never looked back, Queen's music has only grown more important in my life as I got older.

Pressure pushing down on me
Pressing down on you no man ask for
Under pressure - that burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets
Um ba ba be
Um ba ba be
De day da
Ee day da - that's o.k.
It's the terror of knowing
What the world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming 'Let me out'
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher
Pressure on people - people on streets
Day day de mm hm
Da da da ba ba
O.k.
Chippin' around - kick my brains around the floor
These are the days it never rains but it pours
Ee do ba be
Ee da ba ba ba
Um bo bo
Be lap
People on streets - ee da de da de
People on streets - ee da de da de da de da
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming 'Let me out'
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher high high
Pressure on people - people on streets
Turned away from it all like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don't work
Keep coming up with love
but it's so slashed and torn
Why - why - why ?
Love love love love love
Insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance
Why can't we give love that one more chance
Why can't we give love give love give love give love
give love give love give love give love give love
'Cause love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And loves dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves
Under pressure
Under pressure
Pressure

Freddie Mercury was the kind of musical legend who really changed lives and impacted so many people. He had a real stage presence. And he had a real aura and feel to him that people identified with and admired. He made you want to rock. But he also made you want to care about him.
