Clare, I am sorry I've only learned now about your mother's death. Many happy memories of our days at Fairfax will be with me forever. Belated but sincere condolences to you and your family. Pat Jones.
I spent many happy holidays and remember the happy times we spent at Berrara on the South Coast of NSW with Aunty Pat, Uncle Joe and Clare. Aunty Pat would give us some money to go to the shop to buy and a Milkshake and Kit Kat for a special treat. From a young age I admired the way Aunty Pat would print instead of running writing and copied her style of writing and to this day I still print!!
Our "Pattie", always there, postcards from wherever she went, stories of my mother, coming to visit me in St Margarets Private Hospital and bringing a very big card to stick over the religious picture hanging in my room. Our trip on the Indian Pacific, lots of fun, happy memories always.
Aunty Pat. Took me to my first Restaurant after she had played basket ball in Centennial Park.I was the tender age of 4 years .I really enjoyed the tucker so much so that I licked the plate .which did not go down well at all.
