Yes that is what he was a Canadian Rock Star....What a terrible loss...But he shall live on in his music.....

There isn't a day that doesn't go by that I don't remember what memory goes with what Jeff Healey song in my life . It's like that , simple . He got us moving with his Rock and set an imprint in our souls with his blues . I've heard lots of bands try to do an imitation of Jeff and his Band , but he's best remembered by his own passion . Rest your soul now , you are loved by so many and will always be remembered ,

jeff was a great person and he will always be remembered...may he sit with the lord in peace

I never got to see Jeff in person, but I thought that his voice was every bit as beautiful as his guitar playing. I admired him tremendously and I will miss him! Rest in Peace, Jeff....

We've lost an amazingly gifted guitarist and singer. It's just so sad. He gave so much to everyone. Be at peace now Jeff. Smile down on all of us. You will be deeply missed.

I knew Jeff in highschool. My very first memory of him is seeing him with his Mom, walking the empty halls just before school opened in September, counting the steps between classes so that he'd be able to independently find his way around the halls of Etobicoke Collegiate. Jeff was a talent from the get-go. Even in highschool we loved to listen and watch him play - his enthusiasm for music was infectious and his abilities were enviable! He is a talent, and friend, taken from us far too soon, but he will live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the priviledge of knowing him, laughing with him and playing music alongside him. Thinking of his family as they grieve his loss,

what a terrible loss. Loved his music.
Our deepest sympathies to the entire Healey family

As a kid just learning to play guitar in the 1980's, Jeff was a guitar hero of mine. Any guitarist/musician worth there salt knows this guy was on another level that you wanted to get to. Now having learned about his ongoing battle with cancer and ultimate death from cancer so young.....I think he's a legend many will remember forever. RIP Jeff and much love to his friends and family.

we lost a great guitar player& singer.ROCK ON JEFF you will be missed.

I have been a fan of Jeff Healy's for a long time. The music he makes speaks to my soul and opens my heart. One day my father is talking about listening to this great show on CBC about vintage jazz (we are both fans) and how much he really likes this "Healy guy who hosts". So wasn't my father shocked that not only did I know Jeff Healy but had his albums. I shared some of Jeff's other works with my father and he is now an even bigger fan. You can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks Jeff for your music. It gave my father and I something else to enjoy together. We will miss you. My heart is with your family. If we all remember the joy and happiness that Jeff brought to us it will help ease the sorrow of losing him. We leave this live to begin life anew.

you inspired me to keep blues alive, and playing blues guitar, you will be sadly missed but never forgotton.

Your music was always something that I could listen to, whether my musical tastes were for rock or country, Jeff you were among my collection. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
