Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas! My previous heartfelt message just got accidentally deleted...so heres to short tributes! Ariel Escalante
On the 13the anniversary of your death, your worldwide family once again pauses to celebrate your life and all your contributions -- to our planet and to each of us personally. Gone too soon, we still miss you, but rest assured that your music and memory are alive and well -- and being passed on to future generations.
There's a storm across the valley...but it's not so lonesome anymore. with love, meagan
My dad remembers when my mom heard that you had died, and so close to us too. It was three months after I was born. She was devestated. She and I are still very sad and miss you much. I have all of your songs on my iPod and listen to you on Grooveshark all the time. My favorite song of yours is Annie's Song. I sightread it on the piano and am going to try it on the clarinet next. I love your music and it's sad that none of my friends know who you are and what you did. They're 10-14, I'm 12, sad isn't it? Anyway, I wanted to see you in concert but you had to go and die. *snif snif* Right now I'm listening to Falling Leaves and I feel like crying. Ok I can't bear to write anymore, Love You Forever, Ariel Escalante P.S.- I may write again soon.
Thinking of you today.....Hope Christmas with the angels was enjoyable for you again this year. I know you must have joined their choir with your beautiful voice. Enjoyed your music on cd, dvd, and you tube again this year. Your birthday is coming up soon so have a Happy Birthday and a Happy New Year... Your fan and friend, Lauretta........
The greatest memory I'll always hold in my heart is being 16 years old and seeing John Denver at the height of his carreer in concert in Omaha, Nebraska. I was so excited, it was my very 1st concert seeing a very famous person. He made you feel like you were his guest at his house. What a personal & FAR-OUT concert that was. I've always loved him and still do. He lost a very great man 12 years ago. It's too bad nobody remembers him on TV, like the Biography Channel, etc .We miss you John....PEACE......Denise
your song country mode take me home is my favourite song and reminds me of you we play it ofen forever in our hearts judex
John, I have been a fan of yours since your Christmas special in Aspen. Anne Murray was a fan of mine since the beginning of her carreer and that's the night that I became a fan of yours...big time....."Falling Leaves" is such a beautiful song that you sang and the end of that special. It makes me melt whenever I hear it.....Thank you for all the other beautiful songs. I sure enjoy your music every day.....on you tube, on my cd player. Love watching the DVD's that I have....You are now singing with the angels in heaven... Your fan and friend, Lauretta....
It's been nearly 12 years since you left us John, and I still feel this great void in my life. You are still a great presence in my Heart and always will be. You left us so much .... your songs and ideals .... to remember you by .... I can watch you every day on YouTube or listen to your music on the Internet, but it's just not the same as a live concert. I miss you, John .... Sweet Dreams and Peace
As A teen i remember how the music Mr Denver sang gave me a window to nature the crisp air that you feel out in the colarado mountians it made me feel tthis is where paridise lives it made me want to save my pennies so the wild life would be safe . To plant pine cones and seeds so we would have enough trees in the world not knowing if they would ever grow but the energy that he shared with us carries on still today but now i help my kids plant the trees and make sure they have the care they need i show them nature is a gift not to be wasted and to smile at some one that is not in hope it will catch on and enjoy music laughter and life for some one as amazing as mr Denver and now for Ms Thompson for allowing us to share this tribute
