There is no one in this world that could fill Mikes shoes, but all of the people Mike met filled his heart. He truly loved people. They say " when life hands you a lemon make lemonade " well Mike would make pie and share it with everyone. That was just his nature. I will miss him so much.

Mike meant the world to me. He had a wonderful heart full of compassion and love that I felt every day we were together. we never really had much but we always had each other. And with Mike the days were never boring he always had a story to tell. I will miss him dearly and love him forever. he was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Mike and I would occassionally email each other and he would always make jokes and type LOL. Mike shared with me his struggles in life and I shared mine with him and we encouraged each other. Mike would say "it could be worse!" and he would be positive. Mike's daugher Lauren was always on his mind. He felt very sad that he could not spend time with her. He was looking forward to her turning 18 and he had hoped that he could spend time with her then. I hope Lauren knows that Mike loved her very much, he did his best, and she was constantly on his mind. Mike has always greeted me with a big smile and some kind of a joke, making me laugh and razzing me a little. I always looked forward to seeing him because he had a sparkle in his eye that would light up the room and a contagious laugh that put a smile on everyone's face. Mike loved people and people love him. I will miss being with Mike during all of the family events, just running around and the holidays. He has been a continous person in my life and I feel a hole in my heart now that he is gone. Last Christmas Mike and Pam gave his nieces a recipe book of grandma's famous recipes. We all cried because it was a very thoughtful gift. It seemed like every Christmas we cried when we talked about memories of grandma and grandpa as the holidays have been very special in our family. Mike had a tender heart. I remember when grandpa died he cried and cried. I thought it was nice that Mike showed people his feelings. I was touched. Mike has really missed grandpa and grandma so I know that he is excited to see them and they were excited to see him today. I'm not worried about Mike because I know he was a Christian and is in heaven. I just feel sorry for myself and everyone else because he has a special place in my heart and other's and life will not be as fun without Mike around - he brought humor to our lives. I know when I get to heaven Mike will greet me and say "What took you so long? I thought you got lost!" and we will both laugh out loud (LOL).

Mike was the richest man I know. He had more people that called him friend than most people know. Mike was the kindest, generous and most fun loving man I have ever known. If he had a dollar, he'd give you two. He loved children and the elderly. He couldn't do enough for either. I was very proud of Mike as he learned the most important thing in life from our mother who learned it from our maternal grandfmother; people are worth more than things. I loved him dearly and I will miss him.

Uncle Mike was a big teddy bear who loved everyone and everyone loved him! He loved to tell jokes and give me a hard time. I'll never forget how he "kidnapped" Jamal the night before our wedding to spend some quality time with him and welcome him to the family.

Mike was a man with a tender heart and had a love for people. I have so many special memories of Mike. I remember as a little girl going to get ice cream with him and driving with him at dusk to watch deer. He was the kind of person you could count on and a person who would help all he could. He will be greatly missed by our family!!
