Tony Duvert wrote so we could all have life. We will live thanx in a big part to you. Rest in peace dear Tony.

Tony Duvert, even posthumously, is a dazzlingly brilliant inspiration. I feel so sad that he died alone, so forgotten, but Bruce Benderson's recent translation and publication (for the MIT Press) of "Good Sex Illustrated" should alow a new, enquiring generation a chance to experience his iconoclastic, evocative and fiercely intelligent thought anew.
His body is no longer with us, but his mind is with me, and with everyone who has the courage to read his heroic, evocative and still so necessary critique of the joyless, life-blighting normalcy which still governs our lives from the cradle to the grave. Tony is dead - long live Tony!

Duvert was a brilliant writer. He took freedom to the next level with his controversial work. It is a shame that he had published books years ago. Would have liked to see more.
