I met BIBi (as my son called her when he was little) in 1978 when my (then ) boyfriend (later my husband) took me home for the first time! It was a spur of the moment meeting and as it so happened ,Viv n Alec were there for a barbeque! Viv and i made an instant connection & she helped turn the awkward meeting of the parents moment (That most people experience) so much easier. From that moment on we became buddies and over the next 30 odd years we spent many happy times, at backyard barbies. weddings, birthday celebrations, many australia day celebrations, christenings etc etc! We discovered from the get go we had a similar quirky sense of humour, the same ability to discuss any subject whether frivilous or in depth & serious (sometimes within the space of ten minutes) & usually over a nice glass of white wine! (or two). I always enjoyed her company & i will (& have n recent years have sorely) missed our times together. I express my sincere condolences to her family! Unfortunately i never got to know all of you well, except louise whom i consider a friend. Mine and brody's love, thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Lyndall

-you know I never saw Viv judge any one. -she seemed to accept people as they were. -all the time our family from kids up knew her she was great company. From Lake Tabourie as kids in January holidays to recollections of the magnificient 6 travelling to Fiji,New Zealand,USA,Noosa & beyond. She was a great settlor-imagine taming Al & Margaret at the same time. In recent years as I visited Sydney those big novels still remained. My mum & Al used to read these epic novels so too Viv. She told me of David coming over to cook dinner & I remember meeting Anne & Malcolm at the ubiquitous Japanese/Korean restaurant for dinner. We may never know how we will leave this place -it really doesnt matter its whats left behind that counts-great memories beyond the present. Viv-hope to see you again-rest-you did great.. "For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast." Proverbs 15:15 (NLT)
